Unitech The Willows

The Willows is a residential plotted project in Unitech's Nirvana Country 2 township near the Southern Peripheral Road, listed in Sector 71. Plots here were sold around 2009, but development stopped in 2014 when Unitech's former management ran into regulatory and financial trouble, leaving buyers with land they could not build on. In April 2025 the Tribune reported that the government-nominated Unitech board, appointed by the Supreme Court, had restarted six Nirvana Country 2 projects including The Willows, after renewing licences and obtaining environmental and pollution board consents. The board set an 18-month target for plot development works, out of an overall plan of about Rs 630 crore covering 1,073 units, among them 740 plots that were sold but never delivered. Costs are to be met partly through milestone payments from existing buyers and partly from sales of unsold stock. Plot owners should follow the board's demand notices and handover schedule, and anyone buying a plot on resale should check the allotment chain and pending dues carefully.
