About Chintels Paradiso

Chintels Paradiso is a group housing society by Chintels India in Sector 109 that became widely known after a ceiling collapse in a sixth-floor flat of Tower D in February 2022 killed two residents. The incident led the Haryana town and country planning department to order a structural audit of the whole complex. Towers D, E, F, G, H and J were declared unsafe, and the developer later received approval to demolish them; reports say demolition of several towers has been carried out. Subsequent assessments by CBRI found Towers A, B and C also structurally compromised, and in March 2025 the district administration ordered residents to vacate them within 15 days, though those towers remain under a Supreme Court stay. In 2023 the developer offered allottees of some towers a buyback at Rs 6,500 per sq ft of super area or a repair and rebuild option. Residents have raised concerns about rent support being halted and slow progress on rehabilitation. The society should be treated as a special situation: anyone with a stake should follow the court and district administration orders rather than portal listings.
