Where Shahpur Bamheta is and how it is laid out

Shahpur Bamheta sits on the NH-24 stretch of eastern Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, with PIN code 201002. Wikipedia describes it as a village next to the Delhi-Meerut Expressway and the GT Road (NH-91). Neighbouring areas include Lal Kuan, Pandav Nagar, Mehrauli, Wave City and Mahagunpuram.

The area mixes an old village core with newer apartment townships along the highway. There are two entrances to the old part: one from the Lal Kuan side and one near the Bamheta red light on NH-24. NH-24 is the main artery. Listings put the Delhi-Meerut Expressway within roughly 2 km, and a township review notes that NH-24 here has been upgraded to a 14-lane expressway. Noida's Sectors 62 and 63 are about 14 km away, according to 99acres. Resident reviews on 99acres mention uneven road quality inside the locality and a quiet feel at night. These are individual opinions, so judge them with a visit.

Metro and rail

There is no Delhi Metro station in Bamheta itself. The nearest is Shaheed Sthal on the Red Line, which NoBroker puts at about 8 to 9.5 km depending on the page.

The Delhi-Meerut RRTS (Namo Bharat) has a Ghaziabad station about 9 km away, per 99acres. The Ghaziabad station opened on 20 October 2023, and the wider Delhi-Meerut corridor was inaugurated on 22 February 2026, according to Wikipedia.

Ghaziabad Junction railway station is about 7 km away by Wikipedia's figure. Other portals say 9 to 10 km, so treat the distance as approximate and check it on a map for your project.

Airports

NoBroker lists Hindon Airport at about 19 km and Indira Gandhi International Airport at about 41 km. Real travel time depends heavily on traffic.

Schools, hospitals and shopping nearby

Schools: St. Xavier's High School (CBSE, Nursery to Class 12) is on NH-24 opposite Manipal Hospital. Square Yards lists Jindal Public School about 1.1 km away, and NoBroker shows Goswami Public School at about 500 m. Radha Krishna Public School and Sai Public School are also listed nearby. ABES Engineering College and IMS Ghaziabad are the better-known colleges in the area.

Hospitals: Manipal Hospital Ghaziabad is on NH-24 and is the main multi-speciality hospital. Some listings still call the same stretch Columbia Asia Hospital, so confirm the current name. Government Hospital Bamheta and Keshav Dhanwanti Hospital are each about 1.1 km away, per Square Yards.

Shopping: Asha Super Market and Food Bazar is about 0.2 km from the locality centre, per Square Yards. For larger malls, 99acres says Opulent Mall and Gaur City Mall are within about 10 km. Distances on property portals are rough, so verify them for the exact project.

Civic matters buyers should check

Water and power: I could not find an official, area-level source on water supply or power reliability for Bamheta. Some residents on 99acres report good electricity and few cuts, but that is anecdotal. Ask the developer and any existing residents about the water source, whether a sewage treatment plant works, and power back-up arrangements.

Approvals: Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) is the planning body. Ask for the GDA-sanctioned layout plan and the UP RERA registration number for the project, and check both on the official portals. If you buy an under-construction flat, also ask about the completion or occupancy certificate timeline.

Enforcement and land issues: Amar Ujala reported on 26 July 2026 that GDA demolished unauthorised construction in Shahpur Bamheta on a plot with khasra number 1898. It shows that enforcement happens here and that land status matters. I found no area-wide litigation or list of stalled projects in my searches, but that does not prove there are none. Search the project and promoter by name on the UP RERA site and eCourts.

Infrastructure underway or planned

• Township approvals (August 2026): At its 173rd board meeting, GDA approved a land-use change for a township of about 80.74 acres by U.H. Realcon in Shahpur Bamheta, under the UP Township Policy-2023. It also approved conversion charges for about 16.93 hectares belonging to Police City Cooperative Housing Society. These are approvals, not completed construction.
• Land notification (March 2026): The Ghaziabad district site carries a notice dated 5 March 2026 about 8.79 hectares of Shahpur Bamheta land for an integrated township. Read the linked notice for details.
• Ghaziabad Junction redevelopment: Wikipedia reports that the Rs 364 crore station rebuild has had its completion deadline reset to January 2027. It was only about 30 to 40 percent complete in early 2026.
• Ghaziabad-Jewar RRTS: This is a proposed corridor with a planned opening of 2030 on Wikipedia, which flags that date as needing an update. Treat the timeline as unconfirmed.

Who it suits and what to check before buying

Bamheta may suit people who commute along NH-24 towards Ghaziabad, Noida or Delhi, and who want schools and a large hospital close by. It is less suited to anyone who needs a metro station within walking distance.

Before you commit:

• Visit at peak hours to test the NH-24 access and internal roads.
• Verify the RERA registration, GDA sanction and land title with a lawyer.
• For under-construction flats, compare promised possession dates with actual construction progress.
• Ask residents about water, power and maintenance charges.
• Check that the road access and nearby facilities match the brochure.
