NH-24 locality guide

Where NH-24 is and how it is laid out

NH-24 is the older name for the Ghaziabad stretch of the highway now numbered NH-9, which carries the Delhi–Meerut Expressway. The section from the Delhi–Uttar Pradesh border to Dasna is listed at 19.2 km. Property listings still use the NH-24 name.

It is a corridor, not one neighbourhood. Closer to the city are areas such as Pratap Vihar and Vijay Nagar, near Ghaziabad Junction railway station. Crossings Republik is an integrated township on the highway, stretching towards Greater Noida. Further out is Wave City near Dasna. A developer spokesperson has said Wave City was scaled down to 4,196 acres.

Micro-area guides: Crossings Republik and Dasna.

For stock, there were 37 live projects on ADiHomes as of October 2026: 25 ready to move and 12 under construction. The median asking price was ₹8,875 per sq ft from 14 properties on ADiHomes as of October 2026. Browse new projects in NH-24 or flats for sale in NH-24.

Connectivity

Roads

The expressway is the main link to Delhi, Dasna and Meerut. Residents say the Crossings Republik entrance gets congested when expressway traffic is heavy, and that nearby stretches near Wave City have waterlogged in the monsoon. Both points come from resident or third-party accounts, not official data.

Metro and rail

The Delhi–Ghaziabad–Meerut Namo Bharat (RRTS) line is fully open. Its 82 km runs from Sarai Kale Khan to Modipuram, and the last sections opened on 22 February 2026. Stations in Ghaziabad include Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar and Duhai. Ghaziabad RRTS station connects to the Delhi Metro Red Line at Shaheed Sthal.

I could not verify official distances from each NH-24 locality to these stations. One third-party guide puts Shaheed Sthal metro roughly 8–10 km from Wave City and 7–8 km from Crossings Republik. Treat that as a rough estimate and time the drive yourself at peak hours.

Airports

Noida International Airport at Jewar began commercial flights on 15 June 2026, after its inauguration on 28 March 2026. I could not confirm drive distances or times from NH-24 localities. I also did not verify routes to Delhi's IGI or Hindon airports, so check those on a map app.

Schools, hospitals and shopping

The best-documented cluster is Crossings Republik. Schools listed there include Indirapuram Public School (Crossings Republik), Sanfort World School and The Gurukul. Hospitals named by listing sites include Vrindavan Hospital, Ashvapurwa Multispeciality Hospital and Manipal Hospital Ghaziabad. Malls and markets include Panchsheel Square, The Core Mall, Galleria and Gaur City Mall.

Distances vary by tower and gate. Resident reviews describe malls about 2–3 km away and hospitals about 4–5 km away, which is anecdotal. Within Wave City, third-party sources mention a DPS school and the Wave Galleria and Dream Bazaar retail areas. One guide says there is no full multi-specialty hospital inside the township. Confirm what is open before you rely on it.

Civic matters to check

Authority approvals and utilities

Wave City's approvals have been slow. Reports say Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) turned the plan down several times from 2021 over an unpaid ₹401 crore land conversion charge. More than 3,000 allottees had waited for plots. A residents' website cites GDA board minutes of 21 August 2026. They show water works 74% complete against an 87% target, and power works 62% against 77%. The roadmap dates are November 2027 for water and April 2028 for power. This is a residents' site, so check the minutes yourself.

The same site says the builder supplies power through a single-point connection and should hold a direct UPERC licence. A third-party guide says Phase 2 sectors had no working water, sewage or power as of March 2026. If you are looking at Wave City, see Wave Veridia, and ask the seller for current utility status in writing.

Water supply can also be disrupted citywide. The Upper Ganga Canal is closed for annual desilting from 21 October to 25 November, and Ghaziabad and Noida may see supply problems. Ask your society how it arranges backup.

Litigation and stalled projects

I found no reliable, current list of stalled projects specific to NH-24. Wave Group's Noida-based Wave Megacity Centre tried to enter insolvency, and the NCLT dismissed the petition in 2022 with a ₹1 crore penalty. That is a different project, but it shows why you should check any developer's legal record.

Before paying, check the project on the UP RERA website, the sanctioned map, and any court or NCLT cases against the developer.

Infrastructure underway or planned

  • Namo Bharat: 15 stations are operating. An extension from Sarai Kale Khan to Jangpura is listed as under construction. I found no completion date I could verify.
  • Noida International Airport: Phase 1 is open. One source gives its capacity as 12 million passengers a year, rising to 70 million by 2040. That is a long-term plan.
  • Wave City utilities: the GDA roadmap above targets November 2027 (water) and April 2028 (power). These dates may change.

Who it suits and what to check

The corridor suits people who want a flat with road and rail access to Delhi, Ghaziabad and Noida, and who accept that conditions differ a lot between localities. Ready-to-move homes in established townships such as Crossings Republik carry less delivery risk. Look at Kingswood Court as one listing there. Outer areas depend more on utilities that are still being built.

  • Check RERA registration, the sanctioned layout and the developer's litigation history.
  • Ask for the latest utility status in writing, including whether power comes from the utility or the builder.
  • Visit at peak hours and in the monsoon.
  • Time your own commute to the nearest Namo Bharat and metro stations.
  • Compare the listed price per sq ft with what is actually delivered, not with promised future infrastructure.
