The data
Figures from the Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority, Gurugram, reported on 16 July 2026, show that the authority registered 51 projects in the first half of 2026.
- Units: 16,727 in total – 15,403 residential, 1,084 commercial and 240 industrial.
- Investment: about USD 4 billion; reports converted this to between roughly Rs 34,000 crore and Rs 38,000 crore.
- Concentration: 11 large projects accounted for around Rs 25,000 crore.
An earlier report covering January-April put approvals at about Rs 27,000 crore, so May and June added substantially.
What it tells us
Gurugram remained the largest launch and sales market in NCR through 2026. Anarock data for April-June showed Gurugram accounting for about 41% of NCR housing sales and close to half of NCR launches, even though total NCR launches fell sharply from the previous quarter. The HRERA figures show the pipeline of registered projects stayed strong.
The large share of investment in a handful of projects matches what the market has seen: big-ticket luxury launches by DLF, Oberoi, M3M, Godrej and others on Golf Course Extension Road, the Dwarka Expressway and SPR.
What it means for buyers
- More supply, more choice. With 15,000-plus new homes registered in six months, buyers have more options and some room to negotiate, especially in mid-segment projects.
- Registration is the minimum check, not a guarantee. A RERA registration fixes the promoter’s commitments, but delivery still depends on funding and execution.
- Completion dates now include extensions. HRERA’s August order extended all qualifying projects’ deadlines by four months.
How to use the HRERA portal
- Search the registration number from the sales brochure and download the certificate.
- Read the quarterly progress reports for construction status and funds used.
- Check for complaints and orders filed against the promoter.
Where the new supply is
Most of the newly registered supply sits in New Gurugram (Sectors 76-95), along the Dwarka Expressway (Sectors 99-115), on Golf Course Extension Road and SPR, and in Sohna. Buyers comparing options across these belts should weigh travel time to their workplace, the maturity of social infrastructure such as schools and hospitals, and the developer’s record, as well as price per square foot.
