Sector 79, New Gurgaon: a locality guide for home buyers

Sector 79 is a residential sector in New Gurgaon, Gurugram, near the Aravalli foothills. On ADiHomes as of October 2026, there are 13 live projects here. The median asking price is ₹10,800 per sq ft, taken from 12 properties. By status, 1 is a new launch, 9 are ready to move and 3 are under construction. Where it is and how it is laid out

The sector lies in southern Gurugram. Its neighbours are Sectors 76, 77, 78, 80, 81, 82, 82A and 83, plus Sector 1 of Manesar. Haryana RERA records for projects here give the village as Naurangpur, in Manesar tehsil.

Portals disagree on the PIN code. Several different codes appear online, so use the address on the RERA registration and your agreement.

The sector is mostly apartments, with some builder floors and independent houses. Ready and under-construction homes sit side by side. Projects listed on ADiHomes include Mapsko Mount Ville, Godrej Aria and Raheja Ayana Residences.

Connectivity

Roads

The main routes are NH-48, the Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) and the Dwarka Expressway. Portal estimates of distance to these roads vary. One listing says about 8 km to SPR and the expressway. A developer-linked page says about 4 km to NH-48. Drive the route at peak hours before you decide.

The Dwarka Expressway is open to traffic, according to 99acres. Its service roads are a separate, unfinished job (see below).

Metro and rail

There is no metro in or beside Sector 79. Property sites note that the Dwarka Expressway sectors are not metro-served today. One project page puts the nearest station about 20 km away. I could not verify a distance to a named station. The existing Rapid Metro ends at Sector 55-56, and Yellow Line trains run to HUDA City Centre in older Gurugram. Measure the drive to your preferred station yourself.

Gurgaon railway station is about 23 km away via the Dwarka Expressway, per 99acres. Local buses stop at Naurangpur, and app-based cabs operate in the area.

Airport

Delhi's IGI Airport is roughly 30 to 32 km away by road via NH-48. Drive time depends heavily on traffic.

Schools, hospitals and shopping

These distances are approximate and come from portal listings. Check them on a map.

• Schools: Mount Olympus School is inside the sector. Nearby options listed include Ompee Global School, The Moksh International School, Jhankar Senior Secondary School and the Naurangpur government school. Portals also mention DPS Manesar.
• Hospitals: Miracles Apollo Cradle in Sector 82 is about 4.3 km away. Medeor Hospital, Manesar is about 4.6 km. Prakash Hospital is about 7.8 km and Fortis Hospital, Manesar about 8 km.
• Shopping: Vatika Town Square is about 3.2 km away and Entertainland Mall about 3.5 km. Square Yards notes that retail inside the sector is still developing.

Resident reviews on these portals mention weak street lighting and poor internal roads. They are individual opinions, but they are worth checking on a visit.

Civic matters to check

Water and drainage

GMDA runs the master water and sewer network for Gurugram's newer sectors, from Sector 58 onwards. One 2026 water-quality guide describes Sectors 78 to 90 as largely dependent on borewell water. It also says GMDA's Chandu Budhera plant was due to add 100 MLD by March 2026 for Sectors 58 to 80. I could not confirm that this is complete or reaching Sector 79. Ask the developer and the resident association what actually supplies your tower.

Square Yards reports waterlogging in a few pockets after heavy rain. Visit during or just after a monsoon shower if you can.

Power

I found no reliable public information on power supply in Sector 79. Ask for the sanctioned load, the grid connection status and the backup arrangement in writing.

Approvals

Check each project on the Haryana RERA portal (haryanarera.gov.in). Look at the registered completion date, not the brochure date. Also confirm the licence, building plan approval and occupation certificate for ready homes.

Litigation and stalled projects

Supertech Ltd, the developer of Supertech Araville and other projects here, is in insolvency proceedings. Its Araville project is registered with Haryana RERA as ongoing. According to a report dated 9 October 2026, NCLAT has ordered project-wise delivery timelines for 16 stalled Supertech projects, with the next hearing on 6 November. State-run NBCC is working to restart them. I could not confirm whether any Sector 79 project is among those 16. Check the status of any Supertech project, including Basera, with RERA and the court-appointed committee before paying anything.

Infrastructure underway or planned

• Dwarka Expressway service roads: GMDA said on 5 June 2026 that about 70% of 27 km of service roads was done, with a September target. Some land was still to be acquired. I could not confirm completion.
• Links to sector roads: HSVP has listed land-acquisition points to connect sector roads to the expressway. These include Sector 79/79A, Sector 78/79 and the outer road of Sector 79. The report is undated in my results, so the current status is unclear.
• Sector 56 to Panchgaon (Manesar) metro: about 35 km with 28 stations, along the SPR corridor. A 13 October 2026 report says the project report is still being finalised. Another guide describes it as unsanctioned. There is no construction date, so do not count on it when planning a move.

Who it suits and what to check

Sector 79 may suit buyers who want a lower-density setting near the Aravallis. It also suits people who work along NH-48, SPR or Manesar, or who are happy to rely on a car until a metro arrives. It is a weaker fit if you need rail transit, many nearby shops, or fully proven civic services.

• Verify RERA registration, delivery dates and any insolvency or court orders against the builder.
• Ask where water comes from and how it is treated.
• Check the possession status and occupation certificate for ready homes.
• Test the commute at your own working hours.
• Read the maintenance terms and the amenities actually delivered.
