Sohna Road, Gurugram: property prices, projects and homes

Where it is and how it is laid out

Sohna Road is a corridor, not one sector. It starts near Rajiv Chowk on NH-48 and runs south to Sohna town. Along the way it passes sectors including 47, 48, 49, 50, 56, 65, 68, 69 and 70.

The road is NH-248A. Its Sohna Elevated Corridor is 21.65 km long, six lanes and access-controlled. It opened to traffic on 11 July 2022. The elevated part runs 8.94 km from Subhash Chowk to Badshahpur, and the 12.72 km Badshahpur–Sohna stretch was already open. Service roads on both sides handle local traffic.

On ADiHomes as of October 2026, there are 112 live projects on Sohna Road. The median asking price is ₹13,559 per sq ft, from 87 properties. By status, 98 are ready to move, 11 are under construction and 3 are new launches. Connectivity

Roads. The elevated corridor links Rajiv Chowk with Sohna. At its southern end, near K.R. Mangalam University, it meets the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway. The Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) crosses Sohna Road at Vatika Chowk and connects Golf Course Extension Road, Golf Course Road and NH-48.

Metro. No metro line runs along Sohna Road today. One source calls Millennium City Centre, the Yellow Line terminus, the closest station for the NH-48 end. It puts the Rapid Metro's Sector 55-56 station about 5–7 km away, and Sikanderpur about 6–8 km. These are estimates and vary by sector. A hotel listing in Sector 47 shows Sector 54 Chowk Rapid Metro station about 9 minutes away by car.

Airport. Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport is roughly 36 minutes by car from Sector 47, according to one hotel listing. Another listing puts it about 21 km from Sector 49. Both are indicative, and your time will depend on traffic. I could not verify a nearest railway station distance.

Schools, hospitals and shopping

Schools. Names listed around Sectors 48 and 49 include St. Xavier's High School, DAV Public School (Sector 49), GD Goenka Public School (Vipul World, Sector 48) and Vega Schools (Sector 48). Ryan International is near Bhondsi, further south. Distances depend on your sector, so measure from the home you are considering.

Hospitals. Park Hospital is at South City 2 on Sohna Road in Sector 47, and Cloudnine is in Sector 47. Artemis Hospital and CK Birla Hospital are both in Sector 51. A hotel listing in Sector 47 puts Artemis about a 3-minute drive away.

Shopping. Malls and retail named along the road include Omaxe Mall, Baani Square, Good Earth City Centre (Sector 50) and Element One Mall (Sector 49). The same Sector 47 listing shows MGF Metropolitan Mall about 4 minutes away and Golf Course Road about 8 minutes away by car.

Civic matters buyers should check

Waterlogging. Sohna Road has a record of flooding in heavy rain. Local news reported waterlogging on it in August 2024, and video reports from 8 August and 5 September 2026 show it again. Ask residents about the specific lane and visit during or after rain.

Road condition. The Tribune has reported that part of the elevated highway near SD Adarsh School was damaged for the third time in a year. The snippet I found did not carry a date, so check the latest status with NHAI or GMDA.

Water and power. I could not find reliable, current sector-wise information on water supply or power cuts. Ask the society or resident association about borewell dependence, tanker use and power backup. Get written confirmation of the water and electricity connections.

Approvals. Residential projects must be registered with Haryana RERA. The registration record shows approved plans and the declared completion date. Look up the number yourself rather than relying on a brochure.

Litigation and stalled projects. I could not find a verified, current list of stalled or litigated projects on Sohna Road. Search the Haryana RERA complaint records and court records for the specific project and developer.

Infrastructure underway or planned

• Elevated SPR (about 5.3 km, ₹750 crore): GMDA has finalised a redesigned cloverleaf at Vatika Chowk. It plans elevated sections from Ghata to Vatika Chowk and from Vatika Chowk to NH-48. It said it would float the Vatika Chowk–NH-48 tender by 15 January (2026, going by the article's age). I could not confirm that a contract has been awarded or that work has started.
• Dwarka–Delhi-Mumbai expressway link: GMDA and NHAI have discussed ramps at Vatika Chowk, with in-principle approval reported. I found no construction timeline.
• Millennium City Centre–Cyber City metro: One source says the first stretch is under construction, with phased opening expected from 2027. It does not run along Sohna Road.
• Sector 56–Pachgaon metro: Metro Rail News reported on 3 July 2026 that HMRTC had finalised the DPR. It would connect to the Rapid Metro at Sector 56. Another source says it is not yet sanctioned, so treat it as a proposal.

Who it suits and what to check before buying

Sohna Road suits buyers who want a ready-to-move home with schools and hospitals nearby. It also suits people who drive to work, since metro access is indirect. It is less suitable if you need a metro station within walking distance, or if rain-related disruption would be a serious problem for you.

• Confirm the exact sector and address, and whether the project is on the main road or a service lane.
• Verify the RERA number and the declared completion date.
• Check for an occupation certificate on ready homes.
• Test the commute at peak hours and in rain.
• Ask about water source and power backup.
• Treat all planned projects as unconfirmed until work visibly starts.
