Golf Course Road locality guide
Where it is and how it is laid out
Golf Course Road is a major arterial road in central-eastern Gurugram. One description gives it as about 8.3 km and 16 lanes, running from Bristol Chowk near Sector 26 to the Sector 55/56 end. Sources differ on where the "Golf Course Road" area stops. It is usually linked with Sectors 26–28, 42–43, 53–56 and DLF Phase 5.
Don't confuse it with Golf Course Extension Road. That road continues towards Sohna Road and serves Sectors 57–67. It is a different market with different traffic and drainage.
On ADiHomes as of October 2026, there are 60 live projects on Golf Course Road. The median asking price is ₹26,050 per sq ft, from 40 properties. By status, 54 are ready to move and 6 are under construction. Browse flats for sale in Golf Course Road or new projects in Golf Course Road. For micro-locations, see our guides to DLF Phase 5 and Sector 27.
Connectivity
Metro and rail
The Rapid Metro runs along the road's central median. Its five stations here are Phase 1, Sector 42–43, Sector 53–54, Sector 54 Chowk and Sector 55–56. It joins the Delhi Metro Yellow Line at Sikanderpur. One listing puts the Sector 53–54 station roughly 300 m from a point on the road, so your walking distance depends on your exact address.
At the northern end, Guru Dronacharya Yellow Line station is in the Sector 26 / DLF Phase 3 area. From Sector 56, Millennium City Centre (HUDA City Centre) is about 7 km away, according to Square Yards. Rapid Metro has been run by DMRC on behalf of the state's metro company since the original operator pulled out in 2019.
Roads and airport
The road links to MG Road, NH-48, Sohna Road and the Southern Peripheral Road. Property-portal estimates put Indira Gandhi International Airport at roughly 18–22 km, or 30–45 minutes in normal traffic. Treat that as indicative only. Peak-hour jams are reported at the Sikanderpur and Sector 53–54 junctions.
Schools, hospitals and shopping
Facilities are spread across the wider area rather than on the road itself.
- Hospitals: Artemis Hospital in Sector 51 is JCI and NABH accredited. Medanta is about 5 km from Sector 56.
- Schools: Amity International School and Euro Global School are listed near Sector 51. I could not verify a dependable school list for the whole corridor, so check admission, bus routes and distance for each school yourself.
- Shopping: South Point Mall near DLF Phase 5, DT Mega Mall in DLF Phase 1, and Galleria Market in DLF Phase 4. Shoppers Stop has a store on the road in Sector 53.
I could not source reliable per-address distances for these places. Measure them from the flat you are considering.
Civic matters to check
Waterlogging
Golf Course Road has repeatedly been named a waterlogging-prone spot. An earlier Tribune report said the municipal corporation listed it among 32 such spots. It also said run-off from four Aravalli creeks, near Sectors 26, 42, 54 and 56, was a main cause. More recent coverage shows heavy rain still disrupts the Gurugram road network. A September 2026 downpour hit Golf Course Extension Road especially hard. Ask residents about the specific block and basement.
Water supply
The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) is the main bulk supplier. In private colonies, the developer is responsible for running the internal supply. Past GMDA complaints and Tribune reports named DLF Phases 1–3 and Sectors 55–56 for erratic supply. A new 100 MLD unit at the Chandu-Budhera plant missed several deadlines, and I could not confirm whether it is now running. Ask the society about tanker use and borewell dependence.
Power, approvals and disputes
I could not verify area-specific power-cut data, so ask residents about outages and backup. Before paying anything, check the project's registration on the Haryana RERA portal, the sanctioned plan and occupation certificate, and the title documents. I found no reliable, sourced list of litigation or stalled projects on this road. Do not assume there are none. Search court and RERA records for the builder and the plot.
Infrastructure underway or planned
- Gurugram metro loop (Millennium City Centre to Cyber City): The Union Cabinet approved a 28.5 km, 27-station line in June 2023, with a four-year completion target from sanction. It is meant to meet the Rapid Metro at Cyber Hub. A 2026 explainer describes it as under construction, with a later phase at the tender stage. I found no confirmed opening date.
- Golf Course Extension Road widening: The Tribune reported on 3 May 2026 that GMDA was preparing an eight-lane upgrade with drainage and footpaths. I found no confirmed start or completion dates.
- Sector 56 to Panchgaon (Manesar) metro: This is proposed. Sources conflict on whether it awaits state review or a national approval. Treat it as uncertain.
Who it suits and what to check
The area suits buyers who want metro access and a central address, and who are comfortable with a mature, built-up locality. It is less suited to anyone who needs a guaranteed quiet commute at peak hours or a monsoon-proof street.
Examples of ADiHomes listings include The Cedar Estate in Sector 54 and Pilot Court in Sector 28. Check each listing's status and documents directly.
- Walk the route to the nearest metro station at rush hour.
- Visit after heavy rain to see the drainage.
- Confirm water source, pressure and maintenance charges.
- Verify RERA registration, approvals and title.
- Check whether the project is ready to move or still under construction, and the delivery date.
- Compare any asking price with the ADiHomes median above rather than relying on general claims of appreciation.
